The forerunner of the company is Danang First District Pharmacy, established in 1975.
     In 1985, it was renamed Danang Pharmaceutical Company, directly under Da Nang People's Committee under the decision of the People's Committee of Quang Nam - Da Nang.
     In 1993 Danang Pharmaceutical Company was upgraded to a state owned enterprise and its trade name was DAPHACO.
      In 1997, Da Nang City became an administrative unit under the central government. Danaparco Pharmaceutical Company was merged into Danang Pharmaceutical Company (Daphaco) by Da Nang People's Committee.
     In 2005, the company transferred its ownership, state-owned enterprise into a joint stock company, called Da Nang Medical Equipment and Pharmacy Joint Stock Company, trading name of DAPHARCO.
     At present, the company's staffs and employees are 500 qualified and capable to meet the development requirements of the company. The distribution system consists of 3 branches in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Tam Ky, 10 pharmaceutical distribution centers distributed in the districts of GDP, 1 Medical Equipment Center One centralized pharmacy center, one production workshop, nearly 200 GPP pharmacies and one GSP standard warehouse as drug storage service.
